What would your life be like if you were living in alignment with BOTH your childhood dreams and your deepest, most sacred values?

Whew. When I was a kid, I think I wanted to be a Power Ranger. That kinda evolved into superhero in general, then Jedi Knight.

Obviously, none of those are real job options, but they did inspire lifelong interests in martial arts, as well as the creative fields that created the characters--genre fiction, comics, etc. And interestingly, getting curious about Eastern martial arts, as well as the Jedi philosophy, has led me down some constructive spiritual paths.

I can't claim to life 'in alignment' with the dreams or the highest values, certainly not all the time, but I think that striving to be a better writer, a more creative thinker, a better martial artist, to meditate and be loving and kind to myself and others (to embrace the Light SIde of the iForce, as it were) is a pretty valid way to fuse a 10 year old's dreams of virtuous power with an adult's actual abilities and responsibilities.

... I still want that lightsaber, though.

I would be Lisbeth Salander, Anuradha Koirala and Wangari Maathai all rolled into one!
